Red Business Systems, a leading provider of software solutions for businesses, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Sage Accounts and Cim50 Support Technician.

Key responsibilities:

1. Software Support:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, resolving queries and technical issues related to Sage 50, Cim50 Manufacturing.
  • Provide timely and effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth software operations.

 

2. Assist Consultancy and Sales:

  • Collaborate with the consultancy and sales teams to deliver valuable insights and assistance based on your software expertise.
  • Support the sales cycle by participating in software demonstrations and engaging with potential clients.

 

3. Technical Skills:

  • Utilise your proficiency in Crystal Reports, SQL, and IT network skills to enhance the software support process, add value and troubleshoot complex issues.

 

4. Support Desk Management:

  • Manage the support desk, ensuring a streamlined and efficient support process for all customer inquiries.
  • Proactively follow up with clients to ensure they gain the most from their software investment.
  • Manage the installation of updates and upgrades.
  • Perform data maintenance routines and support customer backups.

 

5. Implementation Support:

  • Assist the implementation consultant on projects, offering your knowledge to ensure successful software deployments.
  • Collaborate with the team to execute software installations, configurations, and data migration.

Skills & experience:

  • Proven track record in providing exceptional support for Sage 50, Cim50 Manufacturing, or Sage 200 software.
  • Solid understanding of Crystal Reports, SQL, and IT network skills will be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a software support or consultancy will be a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically to address complex software issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Additional information:

  • This is a home-based role, offering the flexibility to work remotely. The ability to work unsupervised and manage your own workload efficiently is essential to excel in this position.
  • The role may require occasional travel to customer sites as necessary to provide on-site support and consultancy services.
  • Working hours for this position are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. However, flexibility to work outside of these hours is a prerequisite, ensuring timely support to customers across different time zones and meeting project deadlines.
